Best iPhone 11, 11 Pro & 11 Pro Max deals of January 2021

The iPhone 11 series were incredibly popular when launched in 2019. However, in October 2020 Apple discontinued all but the smaller iPhone 11 and introduced the iPhone 12 series, which includes the iPhone 12 mini, the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. (You can find the best deals for the iPhone 12 handsets in a separate article.)

Apple is still selling the colourful iPhone 11, but it’s now at the lower price of £599/$599 rather than £729/$699. That’s a pretty decent saving, but Apple’s not the only place selling the iPhone 11.

Many retailers are offering excellent deals on the iPhone 11 right now. Just make sure you compare these deals with Apple’s current price (once again, that’s £599/$599) because some resellers will quote the original price from 2019 to make their offer look better than it is.

Also, while Apple no longer sells the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, that doesn’t mean that you won’t be able to find one for sale – and you could pick up a good deal.

Fortunately we’re here to guide you through the best deals on the iPhone 11 range, whether you’re looking to buy SIM-free or on contract. The Macworld team have searched up and down the web for the best deals, offers and discounts on the entire 11 range, so you don’t have to.

If you’re not sure which iPhone is the right phone for you, then take a look at our iPhone buying guide for some assistance. We also have a roundup of the iPhone 12 deals that you might be interested in, and we separately discuss the best time to buy an iPhone.

Best iPhone 11 deals

Prior to the arrival of the iPhone 12 we were seeing £50 off the iPhone 11 if you bought one from Amazon, Currys PC World, or John Lewis. Those deals have now gone – but if you saved £50 then you might be kicking yourself as Apple now has even more money off.

Luckily a number of resellers are still discounting the iPhone 11 Pro and the 11 Pro Max. You can get an iPhone 11 Pro with 64GB for £916 (£133 off) at Amazon, while John Lewis has it for £924, in case Amazon runs out of stock or ends the deal, and Very currently has the same discount.

How much do the iPhone 11 handsets cost?

The range first went on sale on 20 September 2019 and included three models: the iPhone 11, the iPhone 11 Pro and the iPhone 11 Pro Max. If you want to know all about the features of these phones, then read our reviews (linked above).

At launch prices started from £729/US$699 for the 11, £1,049/US$999 for the 11 Pro and £1,149/US$1,099 for the Pro Max.

The best iPhone 11 deals

Our price comparison widgets below list the best available deals for each model. We include the best SIM-free and contract deals. Whilst a contract can seem less daunting as it’s not a lot of money upfront, the total cost of ownership (TCO – what you end up paying over the whole contract) will probably end up higher, so think about what’s best for your budget and weigh up the pros and cons of each option.

It’s also worth considering bundle deals, which offer provide striking value. Three, for example, throws in a pair of Beats Solo 3 headphones or AirPods with some of its plans. Head to Three to see its iPhone 11 bundles (click on other plans).

Best SIM-free iPhone 11 deals

The first place to check for deals and offers should be Apple, firstly because that’ll tell you what the price of the iPhone 11 should be right now (at launch it was from £729/$699, but now it’s £599/$599) and secondly because, if you have an older iPhone to trade in, Apple will give you up to £170 off your new phone.

Apple also offers a flexible payments option so you can pay for the phone in monthly instalments. In the UK this starts from £29.99 a month for 24 months (at 0% APR). In the US this starts from $29.12 a month for a new phone.

For anyone who buys a new iPhone 11 (or any other Apple product, for that matter), they’ll also receive one year of Apple TV+ for free.

As we said above, Apple was selling this iPhone for £729/$699, but now it starts at £599/$599.
