Analyst: In two years iPhone will have 10x optical zoom

It has not been long since the iPhone 12 was launched and yet the rumours about 2022 iPhone models have already started to appear.

According to a new report from well-informed analyst Ming-Chi Kuo (quoted by 9to5Mac) the ‘iPhone 14’ will feature a new periscope lens that is to be manufactured by South Korean Semco.

Thanks to the new lens the camera on the back will support a 10 times optical zoom – something that many users will appreciate. Thankfully neither the mobile nor the camera module will be thicker than it is at present.

Of course, a lot can happen in two years, so it is far from certain that we will really see a periscope lens in iPhone 14.

There are also rumours that the iPhone 14 will get an energy-efficient 4nm processor and that the 2022 iPhone could be a foldable handset. We also have a round up of the rumours about the foldable iPhone.
